Khndzoresk Cave Settlement

About this site

Khndzoresk is a network of cliff dwellings, churches, and tombs hewn directly into the volcanic rock of Syunik. Generations of villagers lived in the caves until they were resettled in the 1950s; today a swinging footbridge connects the old and new village across the gorge.
